We are currently seeking Cabinet Making Apprentices to join the Austal team in Henderson. Opportunities are now available for both new apprentices, and those looking to recommence their trade.
The trade offered is a Certificate III in Cabinet Making and involves fitting out the interiors on all types of vessels working with aluminium honeycomb light-weight panels, various types of flooring and ceiling systems.
This trade is a 42 month apprenticeship and will predominately spent on-board vessels and in a workshop environment.

To be considered suitable for this role you must have:
- Year 10 or higher in English, Maths, Metalwork and/or woodwork
- Previous work experience and interested in the selected area
- Capable of performing manual / physical work
- Pre-apprenticeship in the selected trade is desirable
- Own reliable transport is desirable
- Full and current Australian working rights.
These roles are looking to commence in August 2017.
Candidates selected to progress to the next stage must be willing to complete two (2) weeks of unpaid work experience as a trial for the available roles.
